Welcome to the seventh and very special edition of our monthly newsletter as we celebrate the arrival of our new CEO, Dr. Rochelle Ford! We're thrilled to dedicate this edition to learning more about her vision for Page, her inspiring journey, and the values that will guide her leadership.

Meet Rochelle L. Ford, Ph.D., APR

PPBanners (30)
CEO, The Page Society
Current role: I serve as the CEO of Page leading our staff and supporting our members to achieve the Page mission and vision. I am responsible for the overall financial health of Page and strengthening the Page brand and culture, while balancing purpose and impact with financial considerations. I also strive to find new avenues to advance the profession and advocate for the essential role of the CCO in driving enterprise success and social progress forward.

Previous roles: Most recently, I served as the President of Dillard University, the oldest historically black college and university in Louisiana. Before that I served as the dean of the School of Communications at Elon University, chair of the public relations department in the SI Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse, a 16-year faculty member at Howard University, and a lecturer at University of Tennessee at Martin. Under my leadership, PRWeek awarded Elon University and Syracuse University the Outstanding Education program. Throughout my career, I have done public relations and communications consulting for such clients as Bermuda, Children’s Defense Fund, USPS, and Department of Transportation.

A little bit about me: I’ve been a Page member for about 10 years and served as the co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion committee. I'm also the proud mother of three, Michael, 30; Malik, 24; and Raven, 20; as well as two grand cats. I like to start and finish each day in prayer and meditation with a heart of thanksgiving, focusing on how I can make a difference in the people’s lives around me.

Fun fact: I won the speech competition and placed in the top five in the Miss Teen pageant in Columbus, Ohio.

Let's talk: I look forward to connecting with Page and PageUp members regarding how Page could serve them better and address challenges they face and provide them with resources to enable them to advance in your careers. You can reach Rochelle here.
